Overview
fundmysaas is reward crowdfunding for SaaS. Back a product before it ships and pay only when the rules of the campaign are met.
fundmysaas is a place to back SaaS products before they ship. A founder opens a campaign with a goal, a date and a few rewards, such as a prepaid subscription or a lifetime deal. Backers pledge for a reward. If the goal is met, the backers are charged under the rules of the campaign. If it is not, nobody pays.
It is run by Sway SRL, a Belgian company.
What a pledge is
A pledge is a purchase of a reward from the founder, like a pre-order. It is never a donation, and it never gives shares, a share of revenue, interest or any other financial return. fundmysaas is for rewards only.
The rules that always hold
- All or nothing. If a campaign misses its goal, every pledge is released and nobody is charged. A Growth campaign may show a lower minimum instead.
- You choose how you are charged. Each campaign is a Ship pledge, a Build fund or a Growth campaign, and its page says which.
- The founder is the seller. The contract, the invoice and the VAT are the founder's. Payments go straight to the founder's Stripe account, and Sway never holds or moves backers' money.
- 14 days to withdraw. A backer can withdraw from the contract within 14 days, in a click from My pledges.
- Campaigns are reviewed. A campaign goes live only after Stripe has verified the founder and an operator has approved it.
